Woodblock colour folding map, 32 x 44.7cm, considerable, worming, a few small stains, This pictorial map of mountains in and around Nikko offers a comprehensive bird's-eye view to visitors during the Edo Period. The map was published by the Ueyama Yaheiji family, who issued numerous pictorial maps of Nikko from the mid-17th century until the end of the Edo Period. Tokugawa Ieyasu has been revered as the main deity at Nikko, and it remains the main tourist attraction in present-day.
