Written by Emile Chasles, a French writer and historian. Illustrated by Pierre-Gustave Staal, a French artist, illustrator, draughtsman, and lithographer. In the original half calf with blue cloth boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor loss to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound.
