Published by the Hawarden Press, London, 1899. The books measure 5.5" x 8.5". Bound in publisher's original green buckram with gilt titling and decorations on the spine. Top edge gilt. Reproduction of author's signature embossed on the front cover. With black-and-white etchings by F. O. C. Darley. The books are in good condition. Minor shelf wear to the boards and spines. The gilt on the spines is vibrant and clear. Moisture stains to the margins of Volume 1 with some smudges. The textblocks are largely clean and bright. No previous ownership marks.
