Cloth-backed color pictorial boards. 4to. Illustrated with four full-page color plates and others in black & white by Nina Kennard Brisley. The fairy tales in this volume are Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots, The Three Bears and Red Riding Hood and Snowwhite and the Seven Little Men. Nina Kennard Brisley was born in Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex in 1898. The three Brisley sisters were all artists and studied at the Hastings School of Art. Nina provided illustrations for Elinor Brent-Dyer's "Chalet School" series and other works. A worn copy with some soiling and edge-chipping to the covers and some spotting and tip wear to the spine. The text is in very good condition with light wear. There is an owner's name stamped on the inside cover and his name written in ink on the page after but no other markings to the text. Scarce.
