About this Item
5 1/4 x 8 inches ((13.5 x 20 cm), stapled wraps. 23 pp. Fine. Seymour was one of the original members of the community which had been founded by John Humphrey Noyes in 1848 in Oneida, New York, but which had formally ended as a utopian community by 1881. Seymour was notable for having been married to Tryphena Hubbard, the first local convert to the group; their marital troubles almost brought the entire enterprise to an early end in the late 1840s.
