First edition. Yellowish-beige textured cloth in unclipped jacket. Small folio. 156 pp. Color and black and white illustrated plates throughout. A detailed look at the art of the Indian town of Orchha, discussing the history and legend of Orchha, its literature and poetry, wall paintings and architecture. The town was established in the 15th century and is known for its various forts and castle like structures. GOOD jacket on a VERY GOOD book. Moderate general fading and scuffing to the jacket. Some rippling/creasing to the clear plastic coating on the jacket, running across the front panel. Minor soiling. Extremities bumped and scuffed, with a few small chips and tears. Minor edgewear to the book. Remains of tape/scars from removed tape on the inside covers. Text clean and solid. Bookseller Inventory # 007975
