Red hardcover cloth binding with clean and tight. Very slight cock to spine, title on front cover in decorated box clean and crisp, title on spine clear also. Publisher name at bottom of spine is a bit rubbed. Very slightly bumped corners and some dust in the gutters of the spine. Some foxing, else interior of 260 glossy pages is clean and bright. No writing tears or marks. 63 b/w photographs illustrate the text. The dj is very tattered. large chip missing bottom third of spine, chips at corners, soiled. Now protected with Brodart jacket. Flaps are blank. Front of dustjacket, in addition to title, has a paragraph describing the contents as such: "How the charm of a pair of little patent leather boots enticed a man halfway across the continent of Europe is the theme of this fascinating little story. ."
