Accordion file folder with flap and 6 pockets; 68 illustrated cards, many double-sized folding, with a few 3-4 sided folding. Accordion folder is cloth with paper over board at front and back. Illustrated image on flap and title in 4 color. Cards illustrated with b&w and color images and diagrams with occasional photographs tipped in. Housed in publisher's original illustrated paper over board slipcase. A few small closed tears present in the flap, slipcase has light soiling. A very good copy in slipcase with all cards, except the modern adaptations, present.------------------------------ The forward states: 'The initial purpose of the publication is to assist the collector. in the choice of suitable fabrics. for valuable old pieces and modern reproductions. in perfect keeping with their style and period'.
