Inscribed to critic Cleanth Brook, SIGNED, and dated (December 4, 1933) by Allen Tate on the front endpaper. The volume is rubbed, especially on the edges, and there is light fraying to the spine ends. A small bookseller's label is affixed to the bottom of the front endpaper and, additionally, there is a diagonal strip of paper pasted to the rear endpaper.
