A set of first printings of the 2 books from 1952 & 1959, respectively, covering the histories of 71st H. L. I. from formation in 1777 & the 74th H. L. I. from formation in 1787 through their amalgamation in 1881. Volume I has a little fading to part of the covers & a minor crease to the cloth on the rear cover, while Volume II has a bump to the base of the spine, else both are solid very good or better copies. They fought in various 18th century campaigns, The Napoleonic Wars (including The Peninsular Campaign & Waterloo), The Crimean War, The Indian Mutiny & elsewhere in India, Egypt (including Tel-el-Kebir) & other African wars.
