CONDITION: Near-fine, slightly bumped spine, minimal wear to extremities, label faded. Number 56 of an edition of "540 copies of this first formal publication of the Society" of Calligraphers, a fictional society invented by Dwiggins to promote his ideas on book-design and market himself to other more prominent presses (Shaw).
