Small press book featuring an essay by David Hockey on Pablo Picasso as part of the iconic series published by Ramond Foye and Francesco Clemente between 1986 and 1993. The books were designed after small handmade Indian prayer books discovered by the duo on a trip to India and named after a favorite deity - Hanuman. The administrative and editorial divisions of the press were housed in New York's Chelsea Hotel, while printing and binding were done in Madras, India. This is #31 of the Hanuman Books series - other books in the series feature work by artists and writers such as William Burroughs, Allen Ginsburg, Patti Smith, Richard Hell, Jack Kerouac, William de Kooning, Robert Frank and more.
