The War In Pictures (6 Vols), Odhams, A series of 6 volumes covering World War II year-by-year. Each volume is filled with contemporary pictorial history with lots of photojournalism and graphics. Volume 1 - 1939 - 1940 - includes a brief description of the circumstances and events leading to the outbreak of war. Volume 2 - 1940 - 1941 - covers the Blitz, Germany's invasion of Russia, the sinking of the Bismarck and the invasion of Greece and Crete. Volume 3 - 1941 - 1942 Volume 4 - 1942 - 1943 Volume 5 - 1943 - 1944 Volume 6 - 1944 - 1945 All volumes are in near fine condition with straight and tight binding, clean boards and bright gold lettering on the spines. There is a slight amount of wear to the bottom edges of each spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The top edges retain their original brown tint. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and in a cardboard box. Seller Inventory # 03187
