In 1864, Eliot began writing her longest poem, 'The Spanish Gypsy,' the first work in this collection. This project exhausted her, and her partner took the manuscript away from her for fear it was making her ill. Other works include 'The Lrgend of Jubal,' 'Agatha,' 'Armgart,' 'How Lisa Loved the King,' 'A Minor Prophet,' 'Brother and Sister,' 'Stradivarius,' 'A College Breakfast-Party,' 'Two Lovers,' 'Self and Life,' 'Sweet Evenings Come and Go Love,' 'The Death of Moses,' 'Arion,' 'Oh May I Join the Choir Invisible.'.
