Book is in very good condition, no markings or writing on any of the pages, very clean. Dust jacket has some wear and tear on upper front , and some on spine. 8th Printing. Beautifully illustrated, with 27 poems - each a simple prayer by one of the animals in Noah's Ark, a rare combination of devotion, grace and wit. Rumer Godden discovered this collections of poems in a cupboard at the Cenacle Convent in London. Godden had many rewarding hours translating them from French first at Stanbrook Abbey, then with Carmen Bernos de Gasztold herself. Seller Inventory # 000030
