About the Author:

Elizabeth Ptak was Associate Director of Marin Agricultural Land Trust. She wrote the column "4;Homeward Bound" for the Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper, the Point Reyes Light from 1988 to 2006. she has written and edited several books about Marin County including Wildflowers of Point Reyes National Seashore and Marin Farm Families; Stories and Recipes.
