Orig. published in 1916, this is a slightly later reprint c. 1940s, which retains the original cover art, frontispiece, & internal illustrations, but not in their original color renderings; now in pen-and-ink. With beige publisher's cloth over boards, black lettering & design to spine, & a full-color front paper pastedown, in 315 pages. From a single owner collection, this hardcover book is in Near Fine condition: very bright & clean, binding straight & strong, both hinges secure. Slight pushing to both ends of spine & very mild soil. Pages creamy white, with moderate tanning, heavier around edges. The "This Book Belongs To." box in front is filled in, with old gift inscription in pen at top of this page dated 1944; else, completely unmarked. NO DJ.
