29.5x39 cm. Removed from a bound volume. Partially hand-colored lithograph of two trotting horses pulling sulkies. Published as a supplement to the New York Spirit of the Times newspaper which was published from 1837 to 1856. There were other shorter-lived publications with similar titles. According to the text at the bottom, the two horses are shown"As in their match for $500 a side, two mile heats, in harness, over the Centreville Course, Long Island, on the 19th July 1842.
