4to. 34pp. Original maroon cloth with gold lettering on spine. Illustrations include 2 facsimile pages from a manuscript and a 1658 edition of "De Cessatione Legalium" as well as picture of a Domus Conversorum, (house for new Christian converts). Essay on the English medieval Christian Hebraist and scholastic philosopher Bishop Robert Grosseteste of Lincoln. Several pages unopened. Corners show light wear, otherwise in near fine condition. "De Cessatione Legalium" is the earliest text expressing a sympathetic view of contemporary Jews. Seller Inventory # 8133
