Author's first book. 172 pages; photos; illustrated brown cloth with design on the cover in black. Soiling to the spine, missing piece (1 1/2 x 1/ 1/2 inch) from the upper right corner on the front flyleaf. This is the author's first book and is quite rare. Sir Granville Bantock (1868-1946) was a British composer of classical music. The book is an account of his early conducting engagement for the musical play "The Gaiety Girl" which took him around the world with a musical comedy troupe going from America (New York & eastern states, Pittsburgh, San Francisco), the Pacific, Australia, and the voyage home. Very good clean copy of this poorly made book. Seller Inventory # 14175
