A scarce edition of these satires my Joseph Hall. With additional notes by Samuel Weller Singer. Joseph Hall was an English bishop, satirist and moralist. his contemporaries knew him as a devotional writer though he contributed to many different literary styles. In a cloth binding. Externally, a trifle rubbed with bumping to extremities. Loss to head of spine.Some damp staining to boards. Hinges weak. Remnants of signature removed to front pastedown. Frontispiece missing.
