Tissue guards. Illustrated wrappers. Wrappers soiled, engravings a trifle soiled around the edges but very good. One of Johnston's delightful series of "Scraps," satirizing the life and customs of the times. The second plate is entitled "Women's Rights" and spoofs women in several role-reversal scenes. Other plates depict various scenes including "An Old Curiosity Shop" and spoofs of the Gold Rush, the Mexican War, an art auction, &c., &c.
