A nice pocket edition of this hardy perrenial. Full calf binding showing a little surface rubbing to the underlying cords otherwise very good. 188pp printed in black with gilt borders. Wood engraved frontis plate and vignette to half title. Marbled block and end papers. Pages a little dusty. Inscription dated 1875 to front end paper. Size: 145x100mm. Seller Inventory # 19106sB5

The book shop was established in 2001 and is housed in a listed 17th century building. The village of Farningham has iron age origins, with much Roman settlement, and is today still predominantly 18th century in character. The shop is named after Wadard, one of Farningham's Domesday landlords, a henchman of Bishop Odo, William the Conquerers brother,and featured on the Bayeaux tapestry.
