He moved in both religious and academic circles, but never offended anyone with enough power to remove his head or put him up free in the Tower of London. This volume contains a 29-page biography of Hall, and two sections of his religious writings – Devotional; Practical. A very scarce American imprint. *** Bound in light brown cloth boards and spine with blind stamped floral decoration, paper label with gilt lettering on spine. The covers have moderate wear, mostly at corners, moderate soil and discoloration, spine ends slightly frayed. The label is lightly chipped with almost no loss. The contents are complete in a good binding. Mostly clean with scattered light foxing, last 40 leafs or so with damp stain in bottom corner.
