This is an original copy and not printed new on customer's order. Brother of Somerset and eventually committed sucide.Obviously some tanning on inside covers due to age. Fore edge unevenly cut (not untypical for the time). Pindar was a 17th century merchant and British ambassador to the Ottoman Empire. The play takes place in 1621. Other plays are The Mastery of Men; The Landslip; The Husband of Poverty; and The Old and the New. Author (1868-1904) was brother of Somerset Maugham and committed suicide. Gift inscription dated 1909 to 'H Speed Esq' with the author's best wishes'. So puzzle there. 309 pages. Quoted postage for UK 2nd class. Overseas at least £13 as book almost one kilo weight.
