Poem and essay about John Chapman, a.k.a. "Johnny Appleseed." Tipped to the front flyleaf is an additional flyleaf boldly signed and inscribed by the author to his wife: "To Georgia -- / With much love always. / Arnold." And tipped to the inside rear wrapper is a promotional leaflet for this booklet, titled " "WHAT Was thought of the little booklet SONG OF THE LEAVES by Arnold Francis Gates," a 16mo 4-page leaflet consisting of blurbs about this booklet from the likes of H.L.
