1st edition (stated) of this early Pulitzer Prize winner Very good/fine (this is apparently a former library copy, but the only signs of that provenance are that part of the front flap is affixed to the front pastedown, and there is a partially removed sticker on the back endpaper; the book has clean boards, with a bright title sticker on the front board; the sticker on the spine is somewhat dulled, as well as the rest of the spine; there are a couple of stains on the back endpapers; the dj is a facsimile in perfect condition).
