About this Item
A decoratively bound scarce edition of this history of Jerusalem. Focussing on the fall of the city in the first Jewish-Roman war from the era of Josephus, the book contains eight colour plates and the embossed seal of Bristol Grammar School to the front board. There is a bookplate awarding this prize-bound volume to one L. E. White, for 'proficiency'. In decorative calf prize binding with gilt detailing. Externally very smart, there is some very minor wear to extremities and joints only. The hinges are also somewhat strained. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean, though lightly spotted throughout. Near Fine. Seller Inventory # LTH30-F-10
