156 pp. First edition. Publisher's abstract: Anatoly Emmanuilovich Levitin (Krasnov) was born on September 21. 1915 in Baku in the family of a magistrate - a baptized Jew. Mother is a dramatic actress, the daughter of a high school director and the granddaughter of a priest. From 1920 to 1942 the family lived in Leningrad. After graduating from high school, pedagogical college, Leningrad Pedagogical Institute. Herzen and after completing graduate school, A.E. Levitin taught Russian literature in high school (at one time at a university) for many years. After the war he settled in Moscow. In 1949, A.E. Levitin was arrested by the KGB and sentenced in absentia to 10 years in prison. In 1956, after the 20th Congress of the CPSU, he was rehabilitated and returned to his school as a teacher. Since 1956 he became a church writer. Collaborated in the Journal of the Moscow Patriarchate (published about 40 articles). In 1958, he began distributing typewritten articles under the pseudonym A. Krasnov. In 1959 he was expelled from school and lost his collaboration in the magazine. He published, together with V. M. Shavrov, Essays on the History of Church Troubles in 3 volumes, his memoirs The Decline of Renovationism and many articles (three collections). B 1965-66 He worked at various churches as an accountant, watchman, stoker. He was not allowed to work in his specialty and was threatened with deportation as a parasite. A.E. Levitin-Krasnov was repeatedly summoned to the KGB and, under the threat of reprisals, demanded to stop the activities of the church writer. But he insisted on the right to defend his beliefs. 12 Sep. In 1969, he was arrested and charged under Articles 142 (violation of the laws on the separation of church and state) and 1901 (dissemination of deliberately false fabrications discrediting the Soviet state and social system) of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. The investigation was conducted in Karaganda and Sochi for 11 months, after which A. Krasnov was released for lack of proof of guilt and returned to Moscow. In December 1970, he was again charged with the same charges. The trial took place on May 19, 1971 (on May 8, A.E. Levitin-Krasnov was taken into custody). Court verdict: under Article 1901 - 3 years in general regime camps, and under Article 142 - 1 year of forced labor at the place of work, with a deduction of 20% of the salary. Stromata is one of the collections of his articles that were accused of him. In the book, the author comments on racism, anti-Semitism, communism and neo-humanism from a Christian perspective.
