About this Item

This copy was deaccessioned from the Atlanta History Center Library. It has a bookplate on the front pastedown, erased numbers on the dedication page, and a small stamp on the back of the title page. There is no evidence of call numbers on the spine and no card pockets or Date Due slips. So, this book is ex-lib without all of the usual markings. The spine is sunned. Overall the book ranges between G+ to VG. Jacket has a closed tear on the rear spine edge, slightly over one inch long. There are two other very small tears along rear edges. There is rubbing on the folds and general aging but the jacket is still attractive. No library indications on jacket. G+ to VG-. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 468 pages; This is a novel of antebellum Georgia and the leadup to the Civil War. It is signed, inscribed and dated by Brewton on the ffep. A rather uncommon novel by the author of a well-know biography of Tom Watson. ; Signed by Author. Bookseller Inventory # 7178
