About this Item
First retrospective. Camel original 15 sided lithograph (poster). This poster was for sale at the show for $25 which at that time seemed an awful lot! though they were signed, which this isn t! presume several in this form got away." On the other hand my memory may be deceiving me, it may have been 12 dollars with the edition being just signed and numbered. A second version was made with Brandeis substituted by the West Coast Museum it traveled to. Rivers Camel from the cigarette pack in various post-cubist collage-effect manipulations, impossible to frame. I remember when walking to my dormitory first semester at college hearing saxophone blasting, the front of Rose Art lit up and a very glitzy view it was through huge glass panes, from 50 feet away of an art-vernissage as I d never seen it! next day was told that was Larry blasting away. His pop art however vibrant remained essentially graphic, though somewhere his influence what with dutch masters cigars, historical (art and non-art) references and repaintings, for a time was an essential ingredient. Lost to history, as is Richard Hamilton, for similar reasons. Seller Inventory # 240
