Mrs. Straus again asks Willemetz if he as an old friend of her husband to write an article in the "Journal Opera" in honor of Oscar's 80th birthday. She goes on to mention what is being done in other countries to honor him. Clara Straus (1886-1967) married Oscar in 1908. Straus (1870 ż 1954) was an Austrian composer of operettas and film scores and songs. He also wrote about 500 cabaret songs, chamber music, and orchestral and choral works. Seller Inventory # 611353
