About this Item
2-page typed letter. Bill Zavatsky, born 1943, is a poet, journalist, jazz pianist and translator. He was co-editor of SUN press and magazine. Fine copy. 2-page letter on SUN Bill Zavatsky letterhead, dated August 11, 1980, addressed to Mr. Kenneth McLintock, Humanities Editor, 'Choice'. Zavatsky writes complaining that 'Choice' is no longer reviewing SUN books. An angry letter which concludes, 'Now that I have probably murdered any chance that a SUN book will ever have for another review in 'Choice', let me say that I still intend to keep sending our publications, hoping that some day you and Mr. Poole will see the handwriting on the wall which says that fewer and fewer of the major houses are doing poetry, and fewer and fewer of the poets they do publish have much that is fresh to say.' Very good content. About 750 words. Seller Inventory # 285867
