About this Item

Rectangular format (7.75" X 5"). Bound by an aluminum clasp. Original covers replaced with hand-made covers of tan file folder card stock. Part One (567 pages) Soviet Union: Ammunition, Small Arms, Grenades, Recoilles Anti-tank Weapons, Anti-tank Guided Missiles, Mortars, Field Artillery, Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Coast Artillery, Multi-Round Rocket Launchers, Surface-To-Surface Rockets and Guided Missiles, Surface-To-Air Guided Missiles, Tanks, Assault Guns and Self-Propelled Artillery, Armored Cars and Personnel Carrier, Tank Recovery Vehicles, Tracked Artillery Tractors, Special Tracked Vehicles, Amphibious Vehicles, Tractor Prime Movers. Part Two (pages 549-1108) (Soviet) Trucks. Also in Part Two (same type of entries for) Albania, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania. These documents were intended to be used in the field in Europe as a military intelligence equipment identification guide. Contains hundreds of illustrations of Warsaw Pact countries arms and equipment from the WWII era, 1950s through 1966. They were published to have identification and characteristics of ANY piece of Soviet-Warsaw Pact arms and equipment which may be found on the Central European battlefield. NOT a reprint. Rare in any condition as these were required documents to be carried into the 'field' during ALL alerts and exercises, therefore they got banged around alot. The internal pages of these documents are GOOD; the original cover was replaced as the original cover was worn apart with use (by me) while assigned to US Army Europe. Sold as a set ONLY. Inventory #15-001057-1938A/B. Bookseller Inventory # 001057
