Shop at 38 Harmood St, London NW1 8DP (off Chalk Farm Rd) established in 1979, open Thursdays to Sundays,10.30-6.30, but computer and phone manned daily, proprietor David Tobin. Named after Thoreau's book, we sell a good selection of literature, poetry, history of art, architecture, philosophy, psychology etc...; exhibitors at PBFA and other book fairs. While adapting the internet age we have no intention of closing to walk in customers, in fact prefer to deal face to face and allow customers to browse. We are situated in Camden Town, less than half an hour from the West End and Bloomsbury. Only a selection of our stock is online, we have over 10,000 titles in shop. VAT number GB564480526.

Please note that while we try to delete books that are sold within 24 hours, as
most of our titles are from our shop stock inevitably sometimes a book might be
sold previously although it appears on website. We try to be as accurate as
possible in description of condition but if you would like a more detailed
description or an image please contact us.Returns Policy: any book may be
returned within one week of receipt for any reason but please notify us
immediately by e-mail, returnee to bear cost of our and return postage unless
