Just before publication of Atlas Shrugged, members of Ayn Rand s collective held a surprise party for the author, who famously declared her displeasure: "I do not approve of surprises!" The author was mollified when she was presented with a specially designed package of cigarettes, replicas of those she wrote about in Galt s Gulch, the utopia at the center of the novel. This pack is damaged but contains two of the cigarettes (likely a bit stale by now). White cardboard box stamped in gilt. Containing two cigarettes stamped with gilt dollar sign.
