New Edition. 659 pages. Fully bound in brown leather. Contains black and white frontispiece and 37 plates engraved by Fourdrinier. Plates say published by Alex Hogg. Both boards are detached but still present. Textblock remains intact. Leather to spine is almost entirely detached and missing. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Free endpaper removed. Thumb-marking present. Water staining to pages throughout, expecially to plates. Notable brown staining to pages throughout. Slight tearing to edge of front endpaper. Pencil marks to directions to the book-binder page. Light creasing to gutter. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Significant peeling leather to spine and boards. Noticeable marks and scratches to boards. Water staining to boards. Almost complete loss to spine. Dents to edges and rear board.
