Softcovers. SIGNED and dated on the front cover "Best Wishes/ John La Montaine/ Oct. 10, 1972". 173 pp. Symphony based on texts from the Essays and Journals of Henry David Thoreau. Symphonic score reproduced from the composer's manuscript. Very good. In 1969 Catherine Filene Shose commissioned La Montaine to create a symphony for the opening of the Kennedy Center and the dedication of the Filene Organ. in September of 1971.
