A single fold valentine with lace paper cover. The lace depicts a village scene, with farm animals and villagers in foreground with a bridge, windmill, church and more in the background. A forest above. Of additional interest is the printed silk verse at center, "Young Lover's Dream. I dreamt! alas, â Twas but a dream! That nought our loves could sever, That you were what you ever seem Whene'er we meet together. I woke! my anxious heart has fears - I found myself alone, Yet still these words rung in mine ears, My Love-my life-my own! Inside blank. Light surface wear. Minimal scrapbook residue on reverse.
