An exquisite letterpress miniature book, 7.5 cm square, 60 pages, hardback, bound in a replica Dutch gilt paper, this one of 175 standard copies. It contains miniature examples of illustrations used in the some of earliest children's books, with woodcuts printed from the original blocks, many first used by John Newbery at his press in St Paul's Churchyard, around 1750. There are 10 tipped-in prints and the text is set in 8pt Van Dijck. New. Seller Inventory # 000095
