First Edition
Hard Cover. Condition: VG+. Dust Jacket Condition: VG+. No Additional Printings Noted. Octavo. Turquoise colored boards quarterbound in a tan cloth backstrip with red lettering on the spine. Book has light bumping at the head and tail of the spine. Map endpapers. Binding is straight and tight. Pages are clean, white, and crisp. 274 pages. Illustrated with a few maps and a section of photographs in the center of the book. Dust Jacket - has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the four outside corners. Just a trace of rubbing all along the upper and lower edges. 1/4" chip in the tip of each of the book's corners. 1/2" closed tear and a 1/8" chip in the upper edge of the front cover. Tiny chip in the upper edge of the rear cover and a couple 1/4" closed tears in the lower edge of the same. About an inch of the lower edge of the rear cover has a faint wrinkling that looks like possible water exposure at one time, but no real discoloration. Orignal $4.50 price on the upper corner of the front inside flap. There's definitely some wear here, but still a tight, clean book with a pretty nice overall presentation. Rare.
