Original Black Hardback. Condition: Very Good Plus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Plus. First Edition. 1974. First edition. vii, 152pp. and 17 black and white illustrations. This history of the Royal High School, Edinburgh, was originally intended to be a revised edition of W.C.A. Ross's history, but the author soon realised that a history centred on the Regent Road building would be inappropriate for boys who would spend all their school life at Barnton, and so the work is essentially a new history of the School. The book is bound in the original black boards with silver titling on the spine and the School emblem stamped in silver on the front board. The case of the book is in very Good + condition with light bumping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The unclipped dustwrapper is very good with light shelf wear. The spine ends are lightly bumped with a nick at the bottom of the spine and two dents near the front spine edge.
