Most of the letters were written by Roosevelt to his children during a period of more than a dozen years when he was separated from them by the Spanish War, a hunting trips, ore because they were at school. He sent these messages of constant thought and love often including picture crude illustrations of the written text precisely adapted to their childish imagination and intelligence. Green binding, gilt lettering, edge wear, owner inscription.
