Covers the pottery of the world from ancient times - pottery, maiolica, porcelain, faience. Certainly a suitable copy for reference. Ex-lib. copy with rubbing to leather spine, tear to ffep where circulation stamp paper was torn off; other occasional variety of dings and spots throughout but mostly a clean copy, free of extraneous marks by former owners.

Third edition, complete in two hardback volumes, 8vo (26cm by 17cm), xvi, 694pp. 8 colour plates, 690 figures. Original green cloth with elaborate gilt titling and decoration, dustwrappers. The books are in bright, very good condition. The dustwrappers are in fair condition only (chipped and torn with loss), but they have done their job in keeping the bindngs bright. The dustwrappers have now been put in mylar covers to protect them.
