In between the second line of the title ('Among the Navajo') and the author's name, on the front panel of the dust jacket, a name has been written in ink in a childish hand, else the book is clean, tight, unmarked, and in near fine condition. Yeager was born in Gilman, Iowa, in 1902, and graduated from high school there, and then went on to graduate from Grinnell College. He was a naturalist and author best known for his 'Bob Flame' series, and for his long association with the National Parks Service. His books have become increasingly collectible and, hence, increasingly more expensive to acquire in better condition. When found, they are often ex-library copies, or copies which have passed through many juvenile hands with consequent deterioration.
