First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. First Edition. SIGNED and inscribed by the author ("to my friend.") on the title page. "One of the three masters of American genre painting," this biography of William Robinson Leigh is illustrated with more than one hundred of his works. He is considered to be one of the best western artists (along with Russel and Remington). There is a bibliopgraphy, chapter notes and an index of illustrations in the rear. Includes photos of Leigh and some of his family members in a section called "Leigh Portfolio." Covers are original tan cloth with brown faux leather spine with gilt spine lettering. There is a bump to lower edge of front cover with a tiny snag (not to a corner), and there is a musty odor that may be objectionable to some. The jacket is complete but are three short tears to the top edge; the jacket is in a removable, protective mylar cover, so the tears are not particularly noticeable. We are happy to answer any questions about this book--just ask! ; Color & B&W Illustrations; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 209 pages; Signed by Author.
