The four sections are: 1) [this section doesn t have an abbreviated title], 2) The Dangerous Voyage and bold adventures of Captain Sharp, Coxon, Sawkins, and others in the South Seas. 3) A Journal of a Voyage made into the South Sea, by the Bucaniers or Freebooters of America, from the year 1684 to 1689. Written by the Sieur Ravenau de Lussah. 4) A Relation of the Voyage made by the Sieur de Montauban, Captain of the Freebooters on the Coast of Guinea, in the Year 1695. With a Description of the Kingdom of Cape Lopez, the Manners, Customs, and religion of the Country. This book is the source of much of the pirate lore that is the obsession of every child the Spanish Main, the kindness to prisoners, the code of honor among them and the ruthless violence of their methods, buried treasure and much more. It is a hodge-podge of truth and fiction and a wonderful source through and through. This copy is from 1810. Please email with questions or to request photos.
