There's a small tear in the leather in the top left corner of the front cover. The main body of text has almost completely come away from the cover. The main body of text is still held to the cover with threads. The binding and the inside of the spine has been exposed. Pages show reader wear and have soiling. Pages have several edge tears. A majority of the last endpage has been torn out. The bottom corner of the page prior has been torn out as well. There are several cracks in the spine throughout the book. The book is7 1/2" by 10 1/2" with 980 pages, a List of Contributors, and the fore-mentioned black-and-white illustrations. Thank you!.

Rev. M. F. Burke DD Xmas 1892" Cahill was the lawman that was on the scaffold with tom horn when he was hung 10 years later. Cahill went on to become a well known lawman and fixture in wyoming.

Designs have been debossed at the head and foot of the spine. Marbled endpages, pastedowns, and page edges. All volumes have general surface and edge wear to their covers. Their corners have been bumped, and the boards are beginning to show. All have soiling to the covers. All pages show reader wear and have soiling. There are several cracks in the spine throughout all volumes. The pages all appear to be secure. Vol. 1) There's dry white paint on the back edge of the spine, as well as a bit on the other edges of the spine. There's a small tear at the top of the gutter on the inside of the front cover that reveals a bit of the netting. The back cover has completely come away from the rest of the book with the spine. Both are still attatched to the front cover, which is still secure to the body of text. There's some fraying along the edges where the cover should be connected. Tanning to the edges of the pages. Vol. 2) There is dry white paint on the front edge of the spine, and near the top right corner of the spine as well. The cover is beginning to come away from the rest of the book. There's a tear on the inside of the front cover that reveals the netting, boarding, and binding. The back hinge is broken as well. There are a few small tears that reveal the netting. The page prior to the title page has almost come out. There's staining from that page on the title page. Several pencil scibbles throughout the pages. A few of the pages have small edge tears. Vol. 3) Tears in the top and bottom corners of the spine along the front cover that reveal bits of the binding and netting. The front hinge is broken with a few small tears that reveal the netting. The back cover is beginning to come away from the rest of the book. There's a tear on the inside of the back cover that reveals the netting, boarding, and binding. It appears that the third endpage has been torn out. The edge of the pages are beginning to tan. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
