Hard Bound. Condition: Near Fine. Complete in three parts, the first two parts by Fauques, the third by an unknown author with access to additional information. All three volumes bound in the publisher's original blue paper-covered boards (purchasers were expected to rebind the volumes). Exceedingly rare thus. Part the First: Second Edition Corrected. Half title, 132 pp., no endpapers, spine inside both covers mended with tape adhering to margin of half title and p. 132, last two leaves and inside back cover with slight worming in margin, Good. Part the Second: Second Edition Corrected. Half title, 144 pp., no endpapers, slight tearing at head of spine, sheets with writing on them adhering to the inside of the covers with the writing on the pasted down sides (cannot determine the nature of the writing), Good. Part the Third: No edition stated (First Edition?). Half title, xii (including Advertisement of the Publisher), 234, plus 4 pp. publisher's advertisements. Generally accepted to be translated by Samuel Johnson and textually revised by him.
