In dust jacket with matching design (lightly bumped along upper edge). Purple decorations and motifs on every page. 16 full page colour illustrations. Compact and elegant edition of this classic. The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam is the title given by FitzGerald to his 1859 translation from Persian into English of a series of quatrains attributed to Omar Khayyam (1048-1131), also known as the Astromer-Poet of Persia.

Unpaginated, illus. w/ 16 tipped-in color plates by Pogany. Some internal leaves show liquid spotting/soiling, mostly in margins, including several mounts, but no plates are affected. Has its faults, but still displays well Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
